Daughters, many of you have asked about the significance of the “33 Club.”
There is a very sweet daughter from an Alabama chapter that has been a tremendous prayer warrior and supporter of this movement to restore the DAR as founded.
I have never met her in person, but we have spoken many times on the phone and Facetimed. The very first night we spoke, she told me that she didn’t know why, but that she had a strong desire to see 33 chapter endorsements. I told her I personally wanted a minimum of 50 (one for each state)!
We talked about how 33 is the age that most people believe that Jesus was when He went to the cross and she agreed that maybe this is why it was significant to her.
Additionally in that conversation, I told her that as a child, my family obsessively watched the Boston Celtics, and we were fanatics for Larry Bird (his number was 33). My Little Dribblers number was 33 so I told her we had a connection there!
I tell you this to remind you of the reason we are fighting so hard to restore the DAR – this principled pursuit is for the thousands of patriotic women across the country who want to serve their communities, honor veterans and promote historic preservation all under the mantel of our shared, proud heritage as Daughters of the American Revolution. Some members may take an apathetic approach, thinking this trans ideology doesn’t affect them or their chapter personally.
This is true in many and maybe even most cases.
But this pursuit is not about us as individuals, it’s about honoring the founders of our Society and preserving it for future generations.
To allow men to be eligible members under the premise that they are women, is simply unacceptable.
I urge you to let your fellow daughters know about this proposal and to make a motion at your chapter meetings to be an endorsing chapter – how amazing will it be when we see 33 chapter endorsements, or better yet, when we exceed that number?
Remember, we are on the side of Truth. We will see a victory as long as we don’t give up. 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of our country’s founding, the perfect time to reaffirm our organization’s principles!
