I have tried to be very careful when it comes to posting about the very uncomfortable realities of allowing men who self-identify as women into the DAR – especially given the recent events in Minneapolis.
There is a part of me that just wants to keep things simple as it relates to the DAR: men are not eligible for membership – period – no matter what documents he produces. And as a private member association we have the right to determine membership eligibility and the admissions process.
It really should be that simple.
Why is this so difficult to accomplish? Why is there such tremendous pushback?
The truth is that there is a very real, very deliberate agenda to tear down Iconic, Historic, American, Christian cultural institutions.
Why?
For the sole purpose of harming culture, society and ultimately individuals.
What drives this agenda?
As Christians we know God’s word tell us that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world; against spiritual wickedness in high places.” – Ephesians 6:12
The root of this agenda is driven by principalities and powers that hate mankind because we are made in the image of God and because the prince of this world knows that harming us, wounds the heart of the Father.
The Bible tells us to “be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour.” – 1 Peter 5:8
The uncomfortable truth is that those who give themselves over to trans-ideology have decided to believe the lie that they’re not good enough or that there is something wrong with them – that they were born in the wrong body.
These individuals take drugs and have surgeries that irreparably damage their bodies making them unable to have meaningful relationships and sometimes even cause sterilization.
I remember seeing a social media post from one young man who identifies as a woman… he said he was sad and depressed because he will never have a family. I want this young man to know that even though he’s chosen this lifestyle, there is always restoration for those who call upon the name of Jesus. He can and will make you whole – a new creature. There is true liberty and freedom in the name of Jesus.
The DAR wants to say on the one hand that we have to allow these men into the DAR or we’ll lose our nonprofit tax status, or that we’ll be sued…
But when DAR leaders say that we are welcoming and inclusive of “transwomen” and that “transwomen” are not men, the DAR is adopting and acknowledging an ideology that is rooted in lies. They are effectively condoning a lifestyle that harms people. Are they responsible for the decisions of these people who choose this lifestyle? No, but their policy of accepting these individuals condones their choices.
The DAR should be a beacon during this confusing time in our country and should have no part in the darkness of trans-ideology.
I do want to clarify that I don’t believe that most of the DAR leaders are knowingly pushing this agenda, or that they’re “evil”, but rather have chosen to go along with this narrative, this agenda (I will not speculate as to why). I wish they would open their hearts and minds to the truth and realize that they’re going along with something very dangerous and very harmful to people – an ideology that destroys the body, mind and soul.
A woman in a prominent role in the DAR asked me why I cared so much about this issue… why I cared if a man in a chapter in another state was in the DAR – especially if that chapter was ok with it?
I care for many reasons – like many of our supporters.
First, I would say that most of the women in those chapters are actually not ok with it. They’re afraid to say so because of DAR policies (spoken and unspoken). I have talked to women in at least 3 chapters that have “transwomen.”
But more than that…
I care because this has been foisted on us under the guise of “we have to.”
I care because, as Michael Knowles articulated in his show the other day, this ideology seeks to undermine and destroy society and culture. What better way to do this than to infiltrate and undermine the DAR? How long before we see a “transwoman” as President General?
And ultimately, I care because I know that at the heart of destroying society and culture is the destruction of individual human beings.
These men that the DAR says that we’re welcoming and inclusive of are the ones who are left to pick up the pieces of their lives after “transitioning.” These men are the ones that have to live with the consequences of their choices to irreparably harm their bodies and alter their lives forever.
It does not personally affect me one iota.
Sure, I could just take an apathetic stance (like many members do) and say “this doesn’t affect me in Small Town, Texas.”
But I am thinking about the implications of this decision on a larger scale. What are the long term affects?
I’m thinking about our DAR founders.
I’m thinking about the sweet, elderly ladies who are unaware of this nonsense and all the strangeness associated with this ideology.
I’m thinking about future generations of Daughters. What kind of a Society are we leaving them?
“Guard that which is committed to thy trust.” – 1 Timothy 6:20
I’m thinking about the women who don’t want a man pretending to be a woman in their chapter but are too afraid to speak out or feel they have to accept them otherwise they’ll be engaging in illegal discrimination because they’ve been told this by the former President General.
I care about the DAR and its reputational integrity.
I care about people who are harmed by this wicked ideology.
Do I care because I’m just a good, righteous person? No way.
The bible says there is none that are good, “none that are righteous – no, not one.” – Romans 3:10
I care because I have been given the opportunity to choose to accept the sacrifice of the shed blood of Jesus on the cross to pay my sin debt – a debt I could never pay.
I care because I have experienced true liberty and freedom from my shame and sin, and I know that it’s only by God’s grace, mercy and love that I am no longer captive to sin and shame. He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood.
I want others to know that they have the same opportunity. That Jesus came to earth for the sole purpose of saving you and me. He loves us more than we can even begin to comprehend. That there is a spiritual battle for your soul and Jesus died so that He could be the Victor.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. – Romans 10:9-11
And while the DAR has a public facing statement that we’re not a religious organization, we still operate under the values of Christianity by quoting Scripture at all meetings and events, offering prayer, and the President General and State Regents push and promote Scripture.
The DAR cannot have it both ways.
Leaders should not get to quote Scripture and incorporate aspects of Christian faith and values as it suits them but then turn around and wag their finger at us for pointing out that this policy of welcoming “trans women” goes against our Christian values and say “but we’re not a religious organization!” -PRP-0012.
No – Now is the time to rectify this whole mess.
We either are a Christian organization or we’re not.
We either are a women’s only organization or we’re not.
If we’re not a Christian organization, then we need to get all reference to Christianity out.
If we’re not a women’s only organization, then we need to change our name and stop promoting ourselves that way.
Do I make the claim that all members must be Christians? Absolutely not, but as an organization, we were founded on Christian values.
The DAR should be preserving the history of the founding of our country, acknowledging that our Founding Fathers appealed to the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and to Jesus.
The founders of the DAR also appealed to God in our organizing meetings, asking for His blessing on the Society.

We should be promoting American patriotism because America is the second greatest gift God gave the world, the first and best being His Son, Jesus – The Christ.
America should be viewed as a picture of the Son of God.
Freedom is not free.
The death of our patriots in pursuit of earthly freedom is a reminder of the death of our Savior, Jesus Christ, who died to make men free. He is the provider of true Liberty.
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” – John 15:13
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty – II Corinthians 3:17
Do I say that we must be overt in our Christianity each time we serve our communities? No.
But our communities need to know we serve them, not because we’re just good people, but because we’ve been commanded to by our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Our goal in serving our communities should be to ultimately point them toward the Cross. Otherwise, what are we doing?
Our focus and goal should not be a temporary band aid but one of building faith and trust in the community to again, have credibility when it matters – when people who are suffering, hurting, and looking for answers are receptive to the Truth of Jesus Christ.
Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. – Psalm 127:1
Ladies, now is the time to take back our Society to its Christian values and to boast in them.
“Thus says the Lord: Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, nor let not the rich man boast in his riches. But let the one who boasts, boast in this: that he understands and knows Me. That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the Lord.” – Jeremiah 9:23-24
